Mathematics for Finance

The Mathematics for finance course exposes students to the mathematical concepts and techniques used in the financial industry. Students will understand the fundamental concepts of financial mathematics, and how those concepts can be applied in calculating present and accumulated values for various streams of cash flows. The objectives of this course is to present the financial calculations linked to the most common financial standards to be able to calculate and compare future and past values, evaluate loans, securities, placements or investments. This course will be the base for more complex financial operations as well as the tool to understand any simple banking operation.
