FINANCE FOR NON FINANCIAL PEOPLE – 24 HOURS ENCOUNTER

No business can be proficiently run without a good mastery and management of its figures.
The seminar aims at acquainting the participants with the dynamics of the business figures covering, in a managerial manner, the basics of accounting, cash flow management, sensitivity analyses, basic pricing concerns, working capital management, financial planning, capital structuring, capital budgeting, budgeting, financial reporting and other related topics. This is done in a practical and usable manner, going through exercises and case studies using computerized spreadsheets that the participants will get familiar with through workshops.

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT – 24 HOURS ENCOUNTER

The seminar addresses the need for organizations to build their future effectively in a pro-active manner tackling the allocation of their resources to create themselves sustainable competitive advantages, based on their core competences and the dynamics of their environment.

The topics of industry dynamics assessment, situation analysis, setting objectives, coming up with workable strategies, establishing the business plan and the budget, and other related topics are discussed in a practical manner with exercises and case studies.

STRATEGIC PRICING – 12 HOURS ENCOUNTER

Effective pricing makes a difference in any organization. While the price intends to cover the cost and leaves the organization with a comfortable profit margin, it mainly needs to capture the value of the product/service the organization offers.

The seminar addresses the fallacy of building the price based on the cost and stresses on the need to set it based on the value of the product/service as the customer perceives it. It addresses the sensitivity of the results to the variation of the price and offers an effective approach backed by worksheets inviting participants to get familiar with through workshops.

STRATEGIC SELLING – 8 HOURS ENCOUNTER

Selling is a life time job for all individuals, and is not restricted to salespeople.

The seminar explores the selling job, pinpointing that telling is not selling and advocating the need for the salesperson to work on becoming a trusted advisor to his/her client, more than remaining his/her products/services supplier or becoming his/her purchasing consultant.

It addresses important topics related to sales, and among them the elements that affect sales, the buying process, the approach to strategic selling, the strategic pillars of selling, the strategy to long term selling, the buying influencers, the need to establish credibility and to keep in touch with the market and the client, the need to search for new clients and to build a book of loyal customers. Of course, the seminar also addresses the selling basic concerns covering the negotiation, closing the deal, dealing with objections, and concludes by focusing on the need for the salesperson to work on him/herself to become the effective salesperson he/she deserves to be.

BUSINESS PLANNING AND BUDGETING – 12 HOURS ENCOUNTER

While decision makers are not fortune tellers, they need to build the future on the superiorities of their organization in a manner that would help them exploiting their potentials as well as exploring market opportunities.

The seminar advocates the above needs of participants and works out with them the business planning general framework and its basic tools. Further typical business plans can be practiced in the workshops. It also elucidates the way to build action programs and budgets, offering the participants a computerized budget system using “Excel” that they would practice first hand.

CRISIS MANAGEMENT – 5 HOURS ENCOUNTER

In our turbulent and ever changing world, organizations should be prepared to effectively manage the adverse situations they come across. The seminar helps accepting the fact that “Chance favors the prepared mind”(L. Pasteur).

After a brief discussion of what management and crisis are, the seminar addresses the need to act pro-actively by identifying the crisis the organization may have to manage by planning and monitoring the high risk/high impact crisis. It offers a general framework for managing the crisis, gives examples of realistic business experiences and the problem solving format exercised in order to manage the crisis and invites participants to case study-style problem-solving activities.

STATISTICS FOR BUSINESS – 12 HOURS ENCOUNTER

The organizations generate internally a lot of figures and can draw on many others externally. Though inert, the figures created or encountered by the organizations can be a very valuable source of information and can often orient management in its decision making, should they be properly compiled, addressed and analyzed.
The seminar is about initiating the decision makers on how to analyze best the figures of interest to them through statistical models and tools using a wild range of examples in an hands-on manner using the computer.

COMPUTERS AS A MANAGEMENT TOOL – 24 HOURS ENCOUNTER

No senior can nowadays afford remaining a stranger to computer skills, and all should get fully familiar with the computer basic usage.

The seminar initiates the participants to the computer common usage covering word processing, spreadsheets, basic database, presentations and Internet. It concludes by directing participants toward Internet information sources and hands-on network activities that enhance and reinforce learning through workshops.

EXPLOIT YOUR POTENTIAL – 8 HOURS ENCOUNTER

We are our best investment, and our organizations best resource. However, we seldom use our full potential and that of our assistants.

The seminar is about People and aims at getting them to accept that, while they are good, they can still do better. In fact they have the advantage of becoming greater by tapping the tiger that is within each one of us.

The encounter addresses the issue of people at work and how to get the best out of them, covering topics relating to motivation and self development, attitude, communication, leadership, delegation and empowerment, and alike.

TIME MANAGEMENT – 6 HOURS ENCOUNTER

This is about our “Tic-Tac” word where we often feel short of time.

The seminar stresses on the importance of time management and suggests ways by which one can learn to work more in less time.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT – 24 HOURS ENCOUNTER

In any organization, people are the real asset, and, when it comes to performance, they make the difference, more than the other resources the organization is managing. More and more so, attracting and retaining good people is the name of the game.

The seminar addresses the issues of concern that the organization needs to master and properly manage to succeed in the above game. Topics like recruitment, career planning and people development, compensation and benefits, coaching and mentoring, and other related topics are discussed in the seminar in an interactive manner with real case studies.

Mastering the costs and setting the budgets and controlling their unfolding in an efficient manner are musts that no organization can afford not to properly manage.
